I visited my friend in Portland, ME this past weekend, and on Saturday, her mother stopped by her apartment. She noticed the laptop on the bed and immediately insisted on gathering ‘round to watch this hilarious viral video she’d recently seen on Youtube: a baby dancing to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.”

Of course, we watched. And laughed for a steady five minutes, unable to resist searching for additional related videos. We found some great ones, but this morning, I stumbled across a list of the Top Ten Dancing Baby videos on Youtube. And I’d like to share them all with you.

Because in all honesty - is there anything as adorably laughable and entertaining as a chubby little human gettin’ it’s grind on? Doubtful.

(In my opinion, videos number 8, 4 and 1 are where it’s at.)

Seriously, if this is an attempt to be cute, I’m puzzled as to what people’s standards are.  Why do the babies need to be CG?  Why are they rollerblading? I don’t think either of those will ever be cute.  As to coolness, CG can sometimes achieve that, but definitely not here.

I guess this video already has over 3 million hits and is fairly well-received, so I may be alone in my fear.  Nonetheless, I just can’t get past how much they creep me out!  I shake my fist at you, Evian.
